Coyote

Last night we had some excitement just outside our back gate at 2:55 a.m. We think this damage was caused by someone either transporting illegals or picking up or dropping them off. In the process the vehicle got high centered on the curb and after much bumping and grinding managed to break the curbing, tore off a fender and who knows what else under the car and make a get away. This area seems to be marked as a passage way to the "Good ole USA". At the tennis courts down the street a block we have seen several times boarder patrol rounding up groups of them.

Just another day in the life of a "desert rat".

Charles Shultz Philosophy

A friend sent this to me and I thought it good to pass along.

Charles Schultz Philosophy

> The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point. 1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world. 2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners. 3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America. 4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize. 5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress. 6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
>
>
> How did you do? The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners . Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one: 1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school. 2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time. 3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile. 4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special. 5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with .
>
>
> Easier? The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care .
>
>
> Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life. 'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia ' (Charles Schultz)

This is the extent of the decorations at our place in Green Valley since we were in Nampa for the festivities there. I think Bob did a fine job. All the mail boxes were aglow at night.

Better late than never

As you all know I have been on the road the whole month of December and have not taken the time to Blog. Now that I am finally back in Green Valley I will try to catch up. Bob and I started Dec. by traveling to Las Vegas, meeting friends and going to see the show "Mama Mia" courtesy of Pat. Then Bob returned to Green Valley with those same friends for a couple of weeks. On the 20th he flew to Nampa for Christmas with the gang there. Meanwhile back at the ranch, I drove his Jeep to Nampa to prepare for Christmas. And I must say it was one to remember!!! Bob, being the "new guy" in the Girl's Dorm, was passed down the Santa hat and uniform (we won't even get into that) and passed out many gifts and much joy to one and all. Christmas may never be the same again.

While no date is set "The consider ring" has become an engagement ring. I don't think the title of "my guy Honey Bob" went over too well, fiance seems more apropos with old folk like us.
And to continue, our journey, we then left Nampa headed south to a much warmer clime. It was 18 degrees when we left and we ran into a few wet slick places on way to Las Vegas, but, all in all not a bad drive. That was on Thur. then on Fri. we went out to see Mike in Sandy Valley to deliver his goodies, found him out by the fire enjoying the sun. After a nice visit we returned to LV , met friends and partied for a couple more days. Then head back to Az. on the 30th. Last night was New Years eve and we went to a house party. I hate to admit it but I couldn't make it to see the New Year in. Guess I've become a party pooper, bad as I hate to admit it.

There isn't enough room on this computer to
tell all the great things that happened, like three new babies in family, all the wonderful gifts and fun that spread so much joy. I LOVE MY FAMILY. Thanks to you all.
